After residency training, Dr. Gatcliffe joined the faculty of UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas as Assistant Professor, teaching in the largest Ob/Gyn training program in the U.S. where he earned a national faculty teaching award. During fellowship, his research interests included molecular signaling pathways in ovarian cancer and the chemotherapy of cervical cancer.
Dr. Gatcliffe is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. His professional memberships include the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Gatcliffe has served in the Society of Gynecologic Oncology as national co-chair of the Fellows-In-Training Network, on the Membership Committee and on the Council.
Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Gatcliffe has a strong personal and professional interest in caring for and treating patients from the Caribbean and Latin America. After entering private practice in Miami in 2010, Dr. Gatcliffe has lectured in many islands throughout the West Indies. He has worked with both public and private sector physicians in several countries to raise the standard of health care for women with gynecologic cancers.
Dr. Gatcliffe takes great pride in guaranteeing his patients and their families receive the thoughtful attention they deserve during treatment. His devotion to communication is unmatched and he takes the time to ensure that every office or hospital room visit receives his undivided attention to detail.
